Whittier's hospital affiliations include Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

Also, Whittier serves as a teaching, training, and research facility for Boston University, Harvard University, Lutheran Hospital, Northeastern University and Tufts University.
