Fundraising Events
Whittier's Development Department holds two major fundraising events during the year to help bring vital services to our community. These are:

The Saving the Health of the Community Gospel Concert - Held in December

The Annual Roast - Held in April

We are pleased to announce that the 2009 Gospel Concert, to be held December 5, will honor Chancellor J. Keith Motley of the University of Massachusetts Boston and will feature guest host Dr. Bobby Jones. Visit the event website.

Additionally, we are thrilled to honor Cleve Killingsworth, Chairman and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, at the 2010 Roast, which will be held April 1. View pictures from the 2009 event honoring Dr. Gary Gottlieb of Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospitals.

In addition to these events, Whittier also holds an annual Men's Health Summit around Father's Day each year to bring services, education and resources into the community. The 2010 Men's Health Summit will be held June 12, 2010. View pictures from the 2009 event.

Community Events
Whittier Street Health Center regularly holds community events free and open to the public. Past events include Back to School Bar-B-Qs, Men's Health Summit, Clean Teeth for Toys and other events promoting good health in our neighborhood. Screenings
Whittier Street Health Center is proud to offer free health screenings to our community. Screenings include breast cancer, eye care, prostate health and many more.
