We offer sensitive medical care and maintenance of health for women of all ages: pregnancy testing, routine exams, provision of birth control devices, family planning, cancer testing, preventative medicine, mammography, menopause treatment, hormone replacement therapy, counseling, information, education and resources. We also provide confidential HIV/AIDS testing.

Mammography

Whittier partners with Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the DFCI MammoVan, which visits Whittier Street once a month, to provide patients with easy access to mammograms. We recommend that all women over 40 years old receive a mammogram annually.

Whittier Street Health Center partners with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Massachusetts Affiliate, to provide breast health education outreach and to provide increased access to mammography services and follow up care.

Prenatal Care

As a part of Whittier’s OB/GYN department, prenatal care includes Whittier’s responsive staff of physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and midwives to provide comprehensive health care for expectant moms including walk-in pregnancy testing, deliveries at Brigham and Women's and Boston Medical Center, and postpartum care.
