Make eating healthy and being active part of your daily routine. A healthy diet and regular physical activity can help lower your:

By keeping these numbers down, you can lower your risk of serious health problems like type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Healthy Eating:  Healthy eating can help reduce your risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and certain types of cancer. Eating fruits and vegetables on a daily basis is one of the smartest things you can do for your health!

Why do fruits and vegetables matter to men? Think of food as medicine for prevention.  Fruit and vegetables have antioxidants that can help prevent chronic disease. They are packed with vitamins, minerals and fiber and are great for weight loss since they are low in calories and fill you up.     Men should eat between 2 to 2-1 /2 cups of fruit and 2 1 /2 – 4 cups of vegetables every day.

How can I eat more?

Summer time is a great opportunity to try new recipes since many types of produce are in season locally so they are fresh and tasty. Keep it simple: try making a greens salad w/ your favorite low-fat salad dressing, grilled veggie kabobs or fruit salad.
