Importance of oral health for children

As we recognize February s National Children’s Dental Health Month it is important to recognize the maintenance of oral health for children. Cavities are the most common chronic disease suffered by children yet are preventable. Poor oral health is impactful to multiple aspects of a child’s life. According to the CDC children with poor oral health miss more school and receive lower grades.  Untreated cavities cause pain, infection, problems eating speaking and learning.
