Day of Giving 2025

Whittier Street Health Center’s Day of Giving on October 1st was a joyful celebration of community, compassion, and care. We served over 1,500 patients and each received distributed coats, socks, goody bags and health resources. We also provided medical and dental screenings, flu vaccinations and health education. Our volunteers included Dr. Yvonne Greenstreet, CEO of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Arun Skaria, Head of DEI and Corporate Responsibility, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and more than twenty volunteers from the Alnylam team.

During the kick-off breakfast at the Day of Giving, Whittier’s President & CEO, Frederica M. Williams thanked the Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and Whittier team and said “Thank you for being here, thank you for your investment in our mission, and thank you for walking beside us as partners in advancing health equity. By joining us today, by volunteering alongside our team, you are not just lending a hand, you are sending a powerful message to our community: that their lives matter, their health matters, and their dignity matters.”

On behalf of the patients we serve, we extend a heartfelt thank you to the Alnylam Pharmaceuticals team for their significant contributions during our Day of Giving. Your time, talents, and commitment to service is greatly appreciated! Thank you for standing with Whittier. Together, we are transforming lives.
