Community Health Programs
In addition to providing under-served communities with access to excellent primary care, Whittier Street Health Center offers programs designed to eliminate health and social disparities in the communities we serve. Our programs recognize that trauma, substandard housing, food insecurity, lack of educational opportunities, and socioeconomic inequalities all play a role in health and may impact a patient’s ability to avoid or manage chronic health problems like diabetes, hypertension, asthma and obesity. Our services are also designed to address high rates of infant mortality, cancer-related mortality, sexually transmitted infections, and substance abuse.
Whittier Street Health Center, as a member of the National Health Service Corps, is proud to serve all patients.
Whittier will not deny services to any patient due to the inability to pay, disability, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national original, or religion.
Discounts are available for patients based on family size and income.
