Annual Senior Holiday event 2024

  • December 16, 2024

The holiday season is a time for joy, family, and togetherness, but it can also be a challenging period for many older adults. Whittier Street Health Center hosted its annual Senior Holiday event on December 13th and it was a joy-filled and fun celebration. We shared presents, stories, sang carols, enjoyed a delicious lunch and had two speakers to provide health education and empowerment for our patients. Celebrating with your elderly family members or neighbors is important because it gives them a sense of belonging, eases feelings of isolation which can often lead to depression, and reinforces the need for future generations to include the elderly in their celebrations too.
