COVID-19 and flu vaccines- Fall vaccination campaign

Mandy Cohen, MD, MPH, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will be on hand tomorrow Wednesday morning to help kick off the fall vaccination campaign at the Whittier Street Health Center in Roxbury. She will tour the health center with Robbie Goldstein, MD, PhD, Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health, and Frederica Williams, CEO and President of Whittier Street Health Center. Dr. Cohen will thank staff and community health workers and recognize members of the community who are there to get their COVID-19 and flu vaccines.

 

Dr. Goldstein will be among those getting vaccinated during this visit.

Following the health center tour, Dr. Cohen will be available to answer questions from the media.

Whittier will provide COVID-19 testing from 10 am to 4 pm on Monday to Friday. Following CDC guidance, we recommend testing if you have a fever AND one of the following three symptoms: cough OR shortness of breath OR sore throat. Please bring your picture identification and your insurance card (if you have insurance).
