Tufts Health Plan’s Marc Spooner to Chair the Whittier Health and Wellness Foundation Board
December 2015, Boston, MA – Whittier Street Heath Center has announced that Tufts Health Plan’s President of Commercial Product, Marc Spooner, will assume the role of Chairman of its Health and Wellness Foundation Board in January 2016, succeeding Sonja Kelly, who is stepping down from the role of Chair. The Board was formed in 2005 to oversee Whittier Street Health Center’s overall fundraising efforts to support its programmatic, capital and endowment needs.

Mr. Spooner has an extensive background in the health care industry and is currently responsible for all aspects of Tufts Health Plan’s Commercial Products division, including strategy, sales, marketing and product development, network management and the definition of the division’s clinical care model. Tufts Health Plan’s Commercial Products division is consistently ranked among the top quality Commercial plans in the country by the National Committee for Quality assurance (NCQA).
Marc has served as Senior Vice President of Health Care Services, Vice President of Provider Contracting, and Vice President of Strategy and Product Development. Prior to joining Tufts Health Plan, Marc worked for Deloitte Consulting, where he focused on the health insurance market.
