Whittier Street Health Center named Top 100 Women-Led Business in Massachusetts – Boston Globe article – “Resist the temptation to fit the mold”

  • November 1, 2022

I was thrilled to be included in an interview with other leading executives – “Resist the temptation to fit the mold” Please see my response below to the question:

3) What turns you around when you feel like quitting?

The thought of resigning during any adversity or crisis, including during the pandemic, has never crossed my mind. I am deeply passionate about our organization and mission, and grateful to have a dedicated team who share the same vision and commitment. During challenging times, I have tried to remain focused, resilient – practicing self-development and displaying integrity. I practice and promote self-care – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

The real test of leadership does not occur when everything is sailing smoothly. Rather, leadership is tested during a crisis. It is important for me to demonstrate confidence and courage during times of challenge and controversy, and this inspires innovation and resiliency.

Thank you to my dedicated colleagues for their deep commitment to our vision and mission. Frederica M. Williams, President & CEO Whittier Street Health Center
