Whittier Street Health Center Twice Named to Lists Touting it Among Top Companies in Massachusetts.

Whittier Street Health Center has been named a Top 100 Women Led Company in Massachusetts and its President and CEO included among the Power 50: The Game Changers in the Commonwealth.

The Globe Magazine and Commonwealth Institute’s named Whittier Street Health Center to its Top 100 Women Led Companies list for the third time. This is also the second time Whittier Street Health Center has been named by the Boston Business Journal to its Power 50: The Game Changers list.

The Globe Magazine and the Commonwealth Institute partner to name the most noteworthy companies and nonprofits helmed by women. According to the Globe Magazine’s announcement, [they] “looked at revenue or operating budget and other variables, including number of full-time employees in the state, workplace and management diversity, and innovative projects. We then ranked organizations according to our own formula. We considered both for-profit and nonprofit organizations.”

This year’s Boston Business Journal list includes men and women from multiple industries and professions who are making a difference in their business communities, blazing trails and leaving their mark on the local economy. Profiles of the winners will be included in a supplement to the BBJ on Nov. 18th. Whittier Street Health Center’s President and CEO Frederica Williams was also named to last year’s Power 50: The Game Changers list.
