Whittier Street Health Center held a Back-to-School BBQ on Friday, August 23, to celebrate the new school year. Almost 800 people from the community came to enjoy the foods on the grill, the popcorn, and the shaved ice treats. Children flocked to the bouncy castle, bouncy playground, and inflatable basketball hoops.

After a talent show competition, students and their parents received bags from our generous sponsors. Cradles to Crayons donated 200 backpacks for the kids, and GE gave over 300 gym bags. GE also sent volunteers for the popular event.

Thank you to our staff, sponsors, and volunteers, and best of luck to students in the upcoming year!
